We spent 3 months volunteering at Finca musica del Bosque and redesigned the rooms along the themes of the cloud forest wildlife.

From top: Toucan room. There are Keel billed tocans everywhere and we were so lucky to be up close to these magnificent birds.

Middle: Mot Mot, the national bird of Nicaragua.

Bottom: Rana ‘frog’ room.

‘Chunche’ mural in Nicaragua. I fell in love with this tiny pottery vessel in Nicaragua. I think it was originally from Peru. It spoke to me so I made a small drawing in my sketchbook. It then became a small mural and a tattoo on my arm, a momento of an amazing experience in this part of the world. ‘Chunche ‘ is Nicaraguan slang for ‘thingy’ when you can’t remember the name of something.
